A MISSIONAL PEOPLE
When we say we are loving we mean that the love we talk about in our gatherings we show to the world. Sometimes we do that together and sometimes we do that in living our every day lives.
The first step is by staying intentional and aware. Pay attention on the path you already travel and do what you can, in the spirit of the divine, our shared humanity, or the universal Christ, whichever works for you. While on your life’s path notice and stop to offer love.
We get many opportunities to make love visible every day. Our OUT on mission emphasis for the month of September is exactly that.
You are encouraged to find ways to make a difference in a few small ways in someone's life or in the community. For instance, while attending the Apple Festival, do some act(s) of kindness. Pay for someone's corn dog or apple cider! Buy some ride tickets for some kids. Give a special thanks/gift to a festival worker or ride operator. People are often overlooked, so go out of your way to say hello and wish them well.
If you aren't going to the festival, think about leaving a generous tip to a server. Pay for the order of the car behind you in a drive-through. Buy someone groceries in line with you. Make a donation to a group that you feel makes positive change in the world. Give a plate of treats to a neighbor, or send a note to someone.
No limits! And how you do it is up to you.
